Angela Gail Carter Irvine

Angela Gail Carter Irvine, 72, of Nellysford passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

She was born on May 6, 1954 a daughter of the late Walter Norwood Carter and Marie Gay Thompson Carter.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sterl Ralph Irvine.

She will be remembered for the deep love she had for her family, who were always at the center of her life. She found joy in creating beautiful handmade jewelry, crocheting thoughtful gifts for loved ones, and spending quiet moments completing word searches.

She also dedicated many years of service as a store clerk at Ashley's Market. Her kindness, creativity, and love for those around her will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by three step-children, Ricky Irvine, Butch Irvine, and Michelle Knight; three sons, Shaun Irvine, Matthew Irvine, and Paul Irvine; a brother, Allen Carter; a sister, Cheryl Waybright; a sister-in-law, Denise Carter; five grandchildren; a nephew, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Wintergreen Cemetery in Nellysford with Rev. Rob Mansfield officiating.
