Barbara Anne Goin

Barbara Anne Patterson Goin, 57, of Wingina, joined her parents and Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 1, 2022. 

She was a beloved wife, much loved mother, a cherished nana, a loving sister, an adored aunt, and great friend. 

Barbara was born on April 24, 1964, to the late William “Sug” and Joyce Patterson. 

She graduated from Albemarle County High School in 1981.  She married the love of her life, James Kevin Goin on June 19, 1982.  Barbara was a natural nurturer and was a caretaker for many years.  

Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, James Kevin Goin, two daughters whom she loved dearly, Tiffany Bryant and Kimberly Ferguson (Josh); three grandchildren who were the absolute light of her life, Jason “JJ” & Levi Bryant, and Raegan Anne Ferguson, all from Wingina.  She also leaves behind one brother, Raymond Patterson of Charlottesville, a special niece that she loved like a third daughter, Dana Lambert of Shipman, and many beloved friends and family.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 2pm at Antioch Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, 93 Serenity Trail Shipman, VA 22971 with Reverend Rodney Sandidge officiating.
