Barbara Drumheller Stinnett

Barbara Drumheller Stinnett, 78, of Amherst County, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 12, 1947, Barbara was a proud graduate of Nelson County High School. She loved doing things with Family. She was well known throughout the community for her friendly spirit and her love of working with and meeting people. Over the years, she was employed at Mary’s Craft, Schewels, Lancaster Gallery, Mays Farm Service, and Food Lion at Amelon, where she formed many meaningful friendships and left a lasting impression on those she met.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Thomas Drumheller and Mildred Fields Drumheller, and by her beloved husband, Thomas “Roger” Stinnett.

Barbara is survived by her brother Tommy Drumheller (Joyce); daughter, Roxanne Taylor (John); son, Scott Stinnett (Dana); grandchildren, Greg Taylor, Emma Stinnett, and Holley Walker (Shawn); and great-grandson, Boe Stinnett, all of whom she loved dearly.

A funeral service will be held at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston, Virginia, on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 2pm with visitation one hour prior, beginning at 1pm. Rev. Jeffrey Campbell and Rev. Dr. Michael Fitzgerald will be officiating.

The burial will take place at St. Stephen’s Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Clifford Baptist Church, St. Stephens Baptist Church, or Centra Hospice.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Fairmont Crossing Health and Rehab for the compassionate care they provided, as well as to her Centra Hospice team for their kindness and support.

Barbara will be remembered for her warmth, her devotion to family, and the joy she brought to the lives of so many.
