Carolyn Beatrice Radcliffe

Carolyn Beatrice Radcliffe, 73, passed away Friday, September 4, 2026 in Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Virginia.

Carolyn was born on November 21, 1952, at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville to Glenwood Radcliffe, Sr. and Lauretta J. Radcliffe.

She was a member of Saint Hebron Baptist Church where she served as the Clerk, a Sunday School Teacher, and the Sunday School Secretary.

Carolyn enjoyed spending time with family and friends, loved the outdoors, was an avid crocheter, and enjoyed movies and banjo picking.

She also loved working with her hands in factory jobs in Charlottesville, Scottsville, Amherst, Lynchburg, and Lovingston making tires, shoes, and clothing. Carolyn always strived to be the fastest worker.

She later displayed her attention to detail as a copy editor and web designer for several organizations, including Lexus/Nexus and Federal Government contractors.

Carolyn is survived by her sisters, Patricia Radcliffe of Norfolk and Wilma Jennings (Steve) of Middletown and brother William Wright, Jr. (Judy) of Ruckersville; and four nieces Ahnnalise Stevens-Jennings (Garth), Diadra Wright, Brianna Wright, and Terrian Jennings. She is also survived by one great nephew and a host of cousins.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, William Wright, Sr.; and brother, Glenwood Radcliffe, Jr.

Carolyn’s homegoing will take place on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Hebron Baptist Church, 5092 James River Road, Wingina, VA 24599 with Rev. Judy Wright and Pastor Sheldon Page, Sr. officiating.

Interment will follow in the Radcliff Family Cemetery at Wingina.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
