David William Drumheller

David William Drumheller, 68, of Nellysford passed away at his home during the early morning of March 27, 2026.

David was born to Lebron A. Drumheller and Bernice F. Drumheller of Nelson County.

David was a graduate of UVA. After college he found his home in the orchards of Central Virginia. He was a dedicated member of the Crown Orchard Company family for 46 years, working primarily as the packing house manager.

David is preceded in death by his father, Lebron A. Drumheller, and his wife, Virginia “Ginger” Drumheller.

David is survived by his mother, Bernice F. Drumheller; his brother, Paul A. Drumheller (Carolyn); and his step-daughter, Cristie M. Wood (Zane). He is also survived by his nephews, Matthew A. Drumheller and Patrick O. Drumheller; his step-granddaughter, Leah P. Wood; his aunt, Joyce Shiflett; his aunts, Nancy Drumheller and Barbara Drumheller; special cousin, Danita Harris; his friend, neighbor, Afton Massie (Darlin “Taly” Agurcia); Elaine Folson and her children, and close friend Wendy Campbell. He is survived by numerous other cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston with Pastor John P. Campbell officiating.

Interment will be at a later date.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
