Dorothy Karen Coleman

Dorothy Karen Coleman, 66 of Amherst, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Charlottesville, Va on November 10, 1955, Karen was the daughter of the late Franklin and Madeline Staples of Amherst.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Coleman.

Surviving are her daughters, Stephanie and Crystal Coleman, sister, Betty (Jim) Maxey of Amherst and brother, Russell (Juanita) Staples of Nelson, grandchildren LeAnn Martin and Daniel Woodson, Jr., along with  cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and her fur babies.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 20th, 1:00 PM at Clifford Baptist Church, 635 Fletchers Level Road, Amherst, Va. with Rev. Jeffrey Campbell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family, in memory of Karen, c/o Betty Maxey, 161 Dogwood Street, Amherst, Va. 24521, would be appreciated.
