Frances Huffman White Stevens

Frances Huffman White Stevens, 102, of Amherst passed away Friday, December 20, 2024 at Runk and Pratt at Liberty Ridge Assisted Living Facility in Lynchburg.

Born November 27, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Frank Huffman and Lila Minter Huffman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John H. White, Sr., her second husband, Millard S. Stevens, Sr., 8 brothers and one daughter.

She retired from Wilko Manufacturing in Lynchburg after many years of service and was a faithful and loyal member of Jonesboro Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, John White (Debbie) of Florida, Judy White Hutter (Charles) of Amherst, Sharon White Raines (Warren) of Piney River, Stan Stevens, Jr. of Warrenton and Nancy Koehler (Kenny) of Ohio; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel 828 Front Street Lovingston with Pastor John P. Campbell officiating.

Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery off Davis Creek Lane in Lovingston.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

The family would like to thank the staff of Runk and Pratt for the care given to her during her time there.
