Franklin Howard Shaver

Franklin Howard Shaver, 64, of Arrington passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at his residence.

He was born September 18, 1957, a son of the late Homer Howard Shaver and Ruth May Morris Shaver.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Penny A. Shaver; his second wife, Phyllis A. Shaver; son, Jeffrey Shaver; four sisters, Louise, Frances, Hazel, and Mary; a grandson, Ryan Oldaker; and a great-grandson, Sebastian Shaver.

Franklin was a Rest Area Attendant for the Virginia Department of Highways.

He is survived by a sister, Ella Shaver Wells; three daughters, Pansy Shaver (John), Vicky Shaver, and Wendy Shifflett; son, Dennis Proffitt; daughter-in-law, Lottie Shaver as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at the Saint John the Baptist Episcopal Church Cemetery in Charlottesville with Rev. Sheldon Page, Sr. officiating.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery one hour before the time of service.
