Gary Lee Sherwood

Gary Lee Sherwood, 77, of Shipman passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at his residence.

He was born on November 18, 1946, in Lebanon, Ohio, and he was the son of the late Roger Wadsworth Sherwood and Mary Alice Compton Sherwood.

Gary was a United States Army Veteran. He retired as Vice President of Operations for Aquasource.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ingrid Gail Burke Sherwood; son, Gavin Kyle and his wife, Lisa Nicole; son, Gregory Kirk and his wife, Jennifer; and three grandchildren.

A celebration of Gary’s life will occur at the Sherwood Family Annual Crawfish Boil on June 1, 2024, in Shipman, Virginia. Friends, family, and anyone who loved Gary are welcome!

In Gary’s memory, please make donations to either Service Dogs of Virginia (www.servicedogsva.org) or The Heiser Foundation (www.theheiserfoundation.org). Gary was a devoted supporter of SDV and a founding Board member of THF.
