Hallie C. Crawford

Hallie C. Crawford was born April 16, 1946 to the late Chester (Chess) Clark and Mary Catherine Brown Clark.

On Sunday January 1, 2023 she departed this life at Augusta Rehab in Fishersville, Virginia.

In addition to her parents, Hallie is preceded in death by her husband, Adolphus (Jr.) Crawford, three sisters, Eva Mae Clark, Patricia Sims and Gwendolyn (Gwen) Clark, a brother, Marcus (Mark) Clark  and a nephew, Nicholas (Nick) Clark.

She is survived by four children; Tammy Crawford of Waynesboro VA, Kelly Crawford of Germany, Sonya Crawford of Waynesboro, VA and Jewanne Crawford of Afton, VA . In addition to she is survived by two sisters; Mary Brown of Long Island, NY and Gracie Irving of Amherst VA.

Hallie is also survived by ten grandchildren; Trent, India, Preston, Trevor, Dante, Jaleel, Jale, Malik, Nigel, and Noah. Four great grandchildren Makayla, Morgan, Jayceon and Leo.

She also had a special nephew and niece she considered as her own, E.C. Clark of Crozet VA and his children; Melissa, Alonzo, Latoya and Denzelle. Marie (Fitch) Washington and her husband, Steve of Arrington VA and children Ta'Shawn and Justice as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Elk Hill Baptist Church in Nellysford with Pastor Sheldon Page, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Mount Eagle Baptist Church Cemetery in Nellysford.

The family will receive friends one hour before the time of service.
