Inez Thacker Wright

Inez Thacker Wright passed away peacefully at home on April 25, 2026, in Alexandria, VA. She was born on October 5, 1936.

She married the love of her life, Wilbur Wright, on May 30, 1958. Together, they shared 67 wonderful years and built a family grounded in unwavering love and joyful moments.

Inez leaves behind a large and loving family. Her three children; Wyatt Wright, Teresa O'Connor (Dennis), and Cheryl Donohue (Matthew), seven grandchildren; Michael Wright (Lindsay), Kellie Sigler (Robert), Rachel O'Connor, Samuel O'Connor, Morgan Wright, Laura Zwileneff (Christian), and Joseph Donohue. Her joy was further multiplied as the delighted great-grandmother of Brielle Zwileneff, Malina Zwileneff, Daniel Sigler, and Sadie Sigler. She is also remembered by her sister, Marion Ferguson, as well as her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Olie & Dollie Thacker, and her brother Chester Thacker.

A gathering will be held on April 29, 2026, at 6:00 PM until the time of service at 7:00 PM at Cunningham Turch Funeral Home in Alexandria, VA.

An additional service will be held on April 30, 2026 visitation starting at 1:00 PM with a service to follow a 2PM at Wells Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston, VA.

Interment will follow in the Wright Family Cemetery in Shipman.
