Jon Allen Marston

Jon Allen Marston, age 59 of North Garden passed away late Sunday April 30, 2023 in Stanardsville. 

He was a son of the late Charles Edward Marston, Sr. and Catherine Marie Dudley Marston.  Besides his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Charles “Chick” Edward Marston, Jr. and two sisters, Jodi Marston Blankenbaker and Margaret “Meg” Sprouse.

Jon was a roofer with the University of Virginia and retired with over twenty years of service.  He loved all things outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.  However, he enjoyed time with his family the most.

He leaves to cherish his memory; a loving wife, Shirley T. Marston, two sons; Jon E. Marston and Hunter T. Marston both of North Garden, a stepdaughter; Heather Dunnivan of Charlottesville, two sisters; Charlene Pulizzi of Pennsylvania, Trudy Braswell of Texas, three brothers; William “Billy” Marston of Maryland, Gary Marston of Ashland, Jeff Marston of Shipman and a brother-in-law; Gene Blankenbaker of Madison.  Jon is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held June 3, 2023 at 2pm at the Covesville Baptist Church in Covesville, Va.
