Kenneth Wayne Kidd

Kenneth Wayne Kidd, 83, of Afton, Virginia, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026, at his residence.

He was born on December 27, 1942, in Charlottesville, Virginia, a son of the late Harvey B. Kidd and Myrtle Virginia Kidd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Irvine H. Kidd and James L. Kidd.

He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Frances Ashley Kidd; his daughter, Kathy Lynn Kidd; his son, Jeffrey Wayne Kidd and wife, Robin Glass Kidd; and his grandsons, Jacob Scott Kidd and Jared Kenneth Kidd.

Kenneth worked as a truck driver for Virginia Correctional Enterprises and was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Kenneth will be remembered for his strong work ethic, devotion to his family, and quiet faith. He took great pride in providing for those he loved and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He touched the lives of many through his kindness, humility, humor, and quiet strength. His memory will be cherished, and his presence will be deeply missed.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Calvary Baptist Church, 8408 Thomas Nelson Highway, Lovingston, Virginia 22949, with Pastor Tyler Lucas and Pastor John Campbell officiating.

Interment will follow at Ridgecrest Baptist Church Cemetery in Lovingston.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
