Kenneth Wayne Lee, Sr.

Kenneth Wayne Lee, Sr., 83, passed away at his home in Afton on March 23, 2026. He was born on May 27,1942 in Clover Hill, Virginia, to Joseph Ralston Lee and Vernie Elizabeth Lilly Lee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Judy Lee Turner, and two grandchildren, Malena Lee and Connor Craig.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne Frank Lee, their three children, Kenneth Lee, Jr. (Angie), Maria Craig (Frank), and Karen Lee (Ernest), and five grandchildren, Jesse Craig (Abby), Nathan Craig (Honey), Greyson Lee, Addison Lee, and Joseph Andrianary. He is also survived by his brother, Carroll Lee, Sr. of Dayton, VA, and nieces and nephews.

He retired from DuPont in Waynesboro after 39 years of employment. He was a maintenance mechanic and then a vibrational specialist.

He served his community faithfully. He was an active member of Rodes United Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School and chairing the Administrative Council for many years. He was a member of the Rockfish Valley Volunteer Fire Dept. for 56 years, including 30 plus years as treasurer. He was a certified firefighter and maintained his EMT certification until his passing.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at Rodes United Methodist Church, 286 Avon Road, Afton, with the Rev. Scott Robertson-Gouge officiating, followed by interment in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 28, from 7-8 p.m. at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel, Lovingston.
