Lewis Wayne Snead

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Lewis Wayne Snead on June 19, 2026.

He was born to Herman and Linda Drumheller Snead on May 7, 1969.

Wayne is preceded in death his father, Herman "Bill" Snead; a brother, Billy Ray Snead; grandparents, Herman & Rosie Snead and Lewis Guy & Loraine Drumheller.

He was a lifelong resident of Schuyler.

Also known as "Poopsie”, Wayne will be remembered as a helping hand to many as he was kindhearted and always willing. He was also quite the outdoorsman enjoying gardening, farming and deer hunting. He has quite a few nice mounts on the wall.

Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Stephanie. They were a month shy of celebrating 33 years together; his son, Lil Wayne, and his fur baby, Ruger.

In addition to his mother, Linda, Wayne is survived by his brothers, Andy Snead (Robin) of Schuyler and Mike Snead (Amanda) of Shipman as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles who he loved dearly.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at the Snead Family Cemetery at the family residence.

Family night will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel for Wayne or to Stephanie Snead.
