Linda Faye Carter

On Thursday, July 3, 2025 heaven gained another angel. Linda Faye Carter was 75 years old when she went to be with the Lord.

Born on March 12, 1950 to Maxine Carter in Charlottesville, Virginia. She graduated from Lane High School in 1968. She spent many years working at Centel before going to The Curry School of Education at UVA. Linda enjoyed sewing, reading her mysteries, figuring out crossword puzzles, and cuddling with her dog Nova Jane.

She was predeceased by her mother Maxine Carter and sisters Barbara Davies and Debi Cooke. She leaves behind her father Carl Carter Sr., two brothers Thomas (Bonnie) Carter Sr. and Carl Carter Jr. A daughter Amanda (Clarence) Tabb, step-daughter Julie (John) Bunch, two granddaughters Arianna (Nasir) Price, and Jazmine Tabb, a great-grandson Nasir Jackson II, and a nephew Tommy (Causey) Carter Jr. She also leaves behind beloved friends Shelby and Warren Davis and a host of cousins.

Funeral services will be held at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston, Virginia on Thursday, July 10 2025 at 12:00pm with Justin Keller officiating. Viewing will be at 11:00am before the service. Family and friends will gather at Covesville Baptist Church following for a meal.
