Linda Tinnell Martin

Linda Tinnell Martin, 72, of Arrington passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at her home in Arrington.

Born December 20, 1949 in Rockingham County she was a daughter of the late Page and Frances Tinnell.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie (Bill) Martin; James and Alice Tinnell who raised her,  and her siblings, Juanita Poulston, Homer Tinnell, David Lee Tinnell, Kenny Tinnell, and Gregory Tinnell.

Linda retired from Nelson County High School Cafeteria after serving children for over 30 years and was a member of Bethel Church of the Brethren in Arrington.

She is survived by her children; James Martin, Tammy Hite (Johnny), and Chasity Fortune (Ryan) all of Arrington; siblings, Peggy Sadler (Tommy) of Richmond, Lucille Gordon of Fredericksburg, Doris Tinnell Wade of Texas, and Gary Tinnell of Shipman; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family, friends, and co-workers.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Bethel Church of the Brethren in Arrington with Brenda Martin, Sam Light, and Kenneth Martin officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and anyone wanting to make donations can do so in Linda's memory to Bethel Church of the Brethren Women's Ministry, 1921 Variety  Mills Road, Arrington, Virginia 22922.
