Milton Timothy Kidd

Milton Timothy Kidd, born June 5, 1956 in Charlottesville, Virginia, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 20th, 2023.

He was the beloved son of Ruby Kidd of Wingina, Virginia and the late Lawrence Kidd. Besides his father he is also preceded in death by his sister Rachel Ballowe.

 Milton was a highly skilled body work technician and had a passion for painting cars and trucks.  Working long hours and making sure he sanded to perfection. He was often covered in dust and paint remnants. It didn’t bother him because it made him happy and he thoroughly enjoyed it.  Milton devoted himself to restoring a beautiful 1965 Ford mustang, which became his pride and joy. 

He had an amusing sense of humor and a big personality. To know him was to love him and his impression made a lasting impact on each person he came in contact with.  He was helpful, kind, considerate and very prescient. Milton loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his special friends Keith and BD McCormick and shopping with his niece Mandy. 

His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children, Kelley Ferguson of Arrington, VA, Derek Franklin (Katie), and Gus Kidd (Morgan) both of Gladstone. His grandchildren whom he adored, Hunter Woodson, Kaden Franklin, Reagan Franklin, Karleigh Franklin, Chase Ferguson, Colt Ferguson, Knox Kidd and Tripp Kidd. The bond he shared with his mother and brother, Melvin was truly incredible.. 

A funeral service will be held Thursday, May 25 2023 at 11am at the Spears Mountain Baptist Church, 106 Meadow Creek Road in Gladstone, Virginia with brothers Buck and Buddy Bryant officiating. Interment will be held following the service at the Kidd Family Cemetery.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 24 from 6-8pm at the church and at all other times at the home of Ruby Kidd.
