Natalie V. Harvey went to be with her Lord on July 16, 2026, at the Augusta Health Hospital in Fishersville, Va. after a lengthy fight to remain a little longer with her family and friends.
Natalie was born in Charlottesville, Virginia on December 13, 1949 a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Vestal and Mary Elizabeth Bryant Vestal. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Fran Beckner.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Gene D. Harvey of Staunton, Va.
Natalie is also survived by a brother, Mike Vestal and his wife, Janet of Colleen, Va, and a sister, Vicki B. Vestal of Lovingston. Va. and several nieces and nephews, along with 4 godchildren she loved as her own,
Upon graduating from Mary Washington College in 1972 she began her business career as a teller at Rockingham National bank in Verona, Va. Through several name changes and promotions, she rose to the rank of Vice President before deciding to retire from banking and assuming the role of office manager in her husband's insurance agency also located in Verona, Va. She continued in that capacity until 2017, when they both decided after his 45-year career, it was time to retire and enjoy the rest of their lives pursuing whatever they wanted for a change,
A grave side service will be held at 2:00 pm on July 23, 2026 at the Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor John Campbell officiating.
The family will receive friends at the grave site immediately following the service.
The family suggest that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to find the cure for MSA disease, a terrible neurological disorder for which there is no chance of survival (Mission MSA, P.O. Box 735039 Chicago, IL 60673), or to the Oak Hill Baptist Church, 248 Davis Creek Ln. Lovingston, Va. 22949.
