Nellie Ellen Howell

Nellie Howell, 83, of Faber Virginia departed her life on October 15, 2022, at Autumn Health and Rehab. 

She was born on May 5, 1939, in Semora, North Carolina.  She was the daughter of the late Eustace and Elvira Hughes and was preceded by the death of her late husband Thomas McClain Howell and 2 sons Rai & Lynn. 

She leaves to cherish one sister Lucy Garland (Semora, North Carolina), 6 children; Thomas, Patricia, Christopher (Faber), Tony (Irene) (Bowie, Maryland), Rosa Clark (Amherst), Althea Howell (Waynesboro).  Along with 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Family night will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 6:30-8 P.M.

A funeral service will take place Monday, October 24, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston with Pastor Glenwood Morgan officiating.  Interment will follow in the Mount Eagle Cemetery in Nellysford, VA.  Repast will follow at the Rockfish Valley Community Center, 190 Rockfish School Ln., Afton, VA 22920.
