Newton Samuel Morris, of Crozet Virginia, passed away on November 5, 2024, after his long battle with cancer. He was born November 5, 1932, in Nelson County to Lillian Frances Morris Dunn and Newton Robert Morris.
In addition to his parents, Newton was preceded in death by his sister Rachel Jenkins and brother Norman Morris.
Newton served in the United States Army during the Korean war from January 1951 until April 1953, He was well known in the Crozet community and worked most of his life an electrician and drove tractor trailers for Morton/Delmonte frozen foods.
He is survived by his children Gene Morris (Kathy), Carlene Paulette (Wayne), Sandy Few, Elizabeth Gomez (Sandro) and Jeffrey “Scotty” Morris (Sandy). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Newtons final wishes there will only be a private service for family members at a later date. His final resting place will be beside his beloved mother Lillian at Monticello Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank the staff of Albemarle Health and Rehab for their compassion and care during his final days.
