Rebecca Ruth Campbell Gray of Shipman, Virginia passed away on September 21, 2024.
Becky was born in Sparta, North Carolina on November 7, 1957 to the late Josephine Jackson Crockett and Charles Bryant Campbell.
She was a beautiful, loving and funny wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. “Namma” as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren called her, doted on them. Namma always had a treat of some sort. Her grandchildren never left without her saying “I love you sugar,” a hug, and a smile.
Becky is survived by her husband and the love of her life, Marshall Gray. Together they had many laughs and adventures. They have a love that is never ending.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Carie Burns (Billy), Chris Towler (Jessica), Jonathan Carter (Ashley), and stepson, Jordan Gray (Tracy). Her grandchildren, Adrianna Burns (Devon), Morgan Burns, Evan Burns, Hailey Towler Doss, Van Carter, Daniel Carter, and Dylan Gray; four great-grandchildren, Adoniah, Donnie, Avynley, and Josiah Trent, her brothers, James Campbell (Angie) and George Radford as well as brothers-in-law, Mike Gray (Julie) and Allen Gray (Sue), several nieces and nephews, and special friends, Dawn Keesee and Victoria Heath.
Becky was preceded in death by her sons, Phillip A. Carter, III and Charles Daniel Carter, her brother, Charles Campbell, her sister, Claris Craft, and grandson, Christopher Towler Doss.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
