Rosa Louise Harris Martin

Rosa Louise Harris Martin of Waynesboro, Virginia, born June 5, 1961 to the late Verdie Virginia and James Everette Harris departed this life on November 30, 2022 at Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville, Virginia.

Rosa spent most of her life in Charlottesville.  She was employed for many years at both Tom Thumbs Store and Charlottesville City Schools Systems until her health declined.  She was a member of Mount Eagle Baptist Church and her faith in God was strong.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Leroy Martin; son, Everett Harris;  sister, Elizabeth Harris; brother, Joseph Harris; uncles, Paul Banks and Reverend Henry Banks; and aunt, Theresa Banks.

Rosa leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Sharon Harris of Afton; four brothers, Alfred Harris and Joyce of Waynesboro, Raymond Harris and Doris of Lumberton, NC, Dale Harris of Fayetteville, NC, and Stanley Harris of Selena City, KS; two aunts, Mamie Banks of Charlottesville, and Melinda Banks of Waynesboro; two uncles, Guy Banks and Debra of Waynesboro,  and Robert Banks and Ordee of Providence, RI; daughter-in-law, Charlsie Stratton of Charlottesville; a devoted niece, Shameeka Vest of Waynesboro, and two devoted nephews, Marcus Harris of Amherst,  and James Miles of Faber.  She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Rest on sister, Rest on get your rest.  We love you, but God loved you the best.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Mount Eagle Baptist Church in Nellysford with Pastor Glenwood Morgan officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour before the time of service.
