Sadie Caul Hunt

Sadie Caul Hunt, 89 of Covesville passed away on July 16, 2025 in Hospice Care.

Sadie was born on July 4, 1936 a daughter of the late Emma Swader Caul and Thomas E. Caul.

She was a member of Rock Spring United Methodist Church.

Sadie was the last of 12 children.

Sadie married the love of her life, Hugh Hunt on April 4, 1953.

Sadie worked at Robertson Dress Store and Comdial where she retired from. She enjoyed doing things for her family especially making her banana pudding from scratch.

She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Hunt Staton (Mike). She also leaves her fur baby (Grandma’s Baby) which she loved, and her brother-in-law, Robert Hunt (Anne).

Sadie is survived by her loving nieces and nephews who she loved so much. She would always tell me who had called that day and talked to her for hours and how much she loved them all.

Sadie had a special caregiver, Judy Harris who called her mom and she loved her and they had so many good laughs and Judy made her days the best.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Rock Spring United Methodist Church with Pastor Glenn Dawson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025 at the funeral home.
