Stanley Eugene Coleman

SFC Stanley Eugene Coleman, 62, of Lovingston passed away on March 29, 2026 at his residence.

He was born on May 13, 1963. He was the son of the late Bennie William Coleman and Edmonia Margaret Smith Coleman of South Boston.

Stanley entered the U.S. military directly following graduation from Halifax County High School in June of 1981, serving 20 years Retiring Sergeant 1st class of The United States Army in September 2001.

He was preceded in death by his father, as well his beloved brother, Bennie Coleman.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Regina M. Richardson of Greensboro; his son, Delvin Chambers of South Boston, and his sisters, Patricia Coleman and Sheila Stencil, as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, cherished close friends and neighbors.

A memorial will be held at a later date.
