Travis Lee Tyree

Travis Lee Tyree was reunited in peace with his mother, Teresa Tyree; father, Michael Shelton; and sister, Jamacia Tyree on Friday, May 13th.  

Born on July 11, 1989, Travis spent 32 years being a loyal son, brother, uncle, and friend.  He loved his family and friends, was constantly behind a good prank with laughs, usually the center of attention, and always charismatic and charming.  Travis never missed an opportunity to get away with something and could find a shortcut in any situation.  

He loved working out, walking barefoot, driving fast, and listening to loud rock music.  He even recently found a new passion in running and was proud to complete his first 10K, finishing first in his age group.

Left to cherish his memory are his two sisters: Angela, her husband Rob, and their twins, Ainsley and Andrew Abernethy of Stuttgart, Germany; Tiffany, and her daughter: Lillian Tyree of Esmont, Va; niece, Lacie and nephew, Dustin Tyree of Schuyler, Va.; and his best friend for life, Lacey Dawn Viar of Arrington, Va.  

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston with Rev. Roger Edwards officiating. 

The family will receive friends following the service.
