Vickie Davis Baker

Vickie Davis Baker of New Smyrna Beach Florida and Schuyler, Virginia passed away Monday, November 21, 2022 at the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville Virginia.

She was born February 11, 1958, the daughter of the late F. Lee Davis and Delia Davis Wells.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) Baker, sister Leah Davis Stockton and her husband William Stockton and her stepfather  Warren T. Wells.

Vickie is survived by her mother Delia Davis Wells and her son Christopher Robert Baker (Ashley). Brother, Gary Davis Sr.; two step brothers Chris Wells, (Kathaleen), Jeff Wells (Carmen); and her nephews, Charles Stockton and Gary Lee Davis II (Courtney). Along with numerous cousins and step cousins. 

Vickie’s degrees were in early childhood education, and she showed it in her love for children and particularly her grandchildren and family. 

The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff at UVA, particularly the cardiac and dialysis units, Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel, Lovingston VA. 

A celebration of life service will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church, Troy VA with Pastor Greg Wissinger officiating.

Refreshments will be served following the service.
