Virginia "Jenny Mae" Fitzgerald

Virginia “Jenny Mae” Fitzgerald, 73, of Schuyler, VA went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 21st, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family, friends, and a ton of love. 

Jenny Mae was born on September 5th, 1950 to the late Walter Johnson and Susie Martin Johnson. Besides her parents she is also preceded in death by her two late husbands; William J. Wright, and the love of her life, Franklin D. Fitzgerald; a sister, Nancy Narron, and two brothers; Homer Johnson and Richard Johnson.

Jenny Mae cherished every value of the word “Family”. She loved to be outside working in her garden, mowing the grass, or dancing around the yard with her loved ones. There was not a plant that she could not grow. She had the finest green thumb. 

Jenny Mae believed in the lord, her family, and being kind and respectful to everyone. She never met a stranger. Jenny instilled every bit of her beliefs into her kids and grandkids. 

Jenny Mae leaves to carry on her legacy 3 brothers; Hank Johnson, Joelee Johnson (Debbie Jean), and Junior Banton (Michelle), 3 children; Billy Wright (Jeannie), Ricky Wright (Barbara), Janice Simpson (Brian), and one stepdaughter Debbie Dudley (Darrel). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; Mittie, Josephine, Tapanga, Ashley, Shane, Christina, Brittany, and Bucky; 17 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. 

The family will receive guests during the family night service that will be held on Sunday from 6-8pm at the Wells/Sheffield Funeral Home in Lovingston, VA. 

A graveside service will be held Monday, September 25th, 2023  at 2pm at the Wright Family Cemetery (2374 Hunting Lodge Road, Schuyler, VA 22969) with Pastor John P. Campbell officiating.
